All my favourite projects I did in University

This is a mood board created for my Future Fashion Module. Thinking about the future of fashion I was influenced by Smart materials, Ice glaciers and the pattern as well as the texture and how it can changes. The meaning of 'Flux' is continuous change or flow.

I was on my Future Fashion trip to Brighton, I was reading the Metro Newspaper Article on Tim Vollmer a German Photographer and his wife Marketa Kalvachova who travelled around Iceland for Six months taking beautiful pictures of icebergs and glaciers. They were interviewed and spoke about their amazing trip and ever changing scenery. This reminded me of fashion and inspired my whole Flux project.

I began my project by creating my own ice to do observational drawings and ice look alike with wax. I also created mixed media drawings by using a sewing machine, wax, cling film and creased paper.

I also used melted plastic bags, wax batik and bubble wrap to created textured drawing of ice patterns and texture.

I created an interactive ink sample, by trapping it in-between a plastic sleeve. I then scanned it into the computer and manipulated the fabric on to the mannequin.
