LYDIA TUBI

Lydia Tubi is a Fashion and Textiles Designer approaching the end of her Ba Hons degree in textiles design. 

Although born and raised in East London, Lydia's family originated from Nigeria and raised her in a very cultural and  creative environment. Her Father  studied in Fine Art and runs his own graphics design business, her mother makes luxury cakes and owns her own  catering service.  As a child her parents would print out model templates for her to draw on clothes and styles she liked, her Father also  taught her Calligraphy. 

Once she reached her GCSEs, Lydia realised that along with her creative background, her  inspirations in the world around her, there was a lot of potential in her work. She had a real eye for detail and loved to experiment with pattern, colour, fabric and style. On completion of her A levels  in Fine Art, Fashion and Textiles and English Literature, Lydia's confidence in what she wanted to achieve  grew and she continued to aim for her goals and completed a Foundation Degree in Art and Design. Now  she is at the point in her journey where she can share her talent, while further developing her skill and contacts in the Fashion and Textiles industry .
